About The American Canine Institute

American Canine Institute was founded in 1983 by Robert (Bob) J. Vance, when he began a business conducting dog training classes in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Our second location, American Canine Institute & Kennels, was established in 1986 on Independence Ave. Mountain View, CA. We boarded dogs and cats, plus conducted group and private dog training classes there and other locations throughout the Bay area until 1996.

American Canine Institute & Kennels and American Canine Institute worked with many City Park and Recreation Departments in the greater San Francisco Bay Area conducting dog training classes and boarding dogs and cats from 1983 to 1996.

Personalized Canine Training You Can Count On

After American Canine Institute & Kennels relocated to Dixon, CA in 1996, American Canine Institute continued to operate part time conducting dog training programs in the Bay area until 2006 by Gene Cunningham. From 2006 to present American Canine Institute became a full time endeavor for Gene Cunningham providing dog training services in the greater SF Bay Area.
